A fast growing part of this global healthcare company requires a strong leader for the Multi Vendor Life Science business. Based in Cardiff, the main focus of this role is to oversee the maintenance of scientific instrumentation from various manufacturers.

Service agreements can cover laboratory equipment such as balances, spectrophotometers, pH meters and centrifuges; analytical instruments like gas chromatographs, mass spectrometers and liquid scintillation counters, and even more highly specialised R&D systems such as pre-clinical imaging systems, bone densitometers and laboratory automation systems.

This role requires a highly organised person with strong project management and planning skills. Responsibilities include:

Managing technical resources including internal and third party engineers.
Developing and organising training schedules.
Maintaining a supply of parts from distributors/OEM's

As the business grows, this role will also progress to man-management, recruitment, career planning and performance management.

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need to have experience in a similar role, preferably from the life science sector. Experience in service engineering is preferred.
