This global leader developments, manufactures and markets molecular diagnostics products and services that are used to diagnose human diseases, screen donated human blood, ensure transplant compatibility, and aid biomedical research.

Acting as the Field-Based Technical Support Specialist you will provide customer training on installation of systems and follow up and technical support to the UK customers and the sales team.

Main responsibilities will include:
Assist the Sales team with pre- and post- sale technical activities with a primary emphasis on growing the user base of diagnostic products.
Install instrumentation, train customers and ensure a smooth and rapid start-up for new customers.
Provide technical direction and support to customers on instrument operation, assay development, and maintenance of company products.
Assist in the evaluation and validation of assays.
Integrate the company’s instruments into customer laboratories and provide support to the customer during the evaluation and validation process.

Ideally your background will encompass experience with Molecular / Microbiology techniques (degree and/or work experience). You should be a confident and enthusiastic communicator, able to build rapport with customers and offer a "better than the rest" service. Previous technical / application support experience is a MUST.
