As the Technical Lead Mechanical engineer you will provide a significant contribution to major development projects allowing you to apply your mechanical engineering abilities to the development of world-leading medical products for clients around the globe taking a leading role in a multi-disciplinary team.

You are a talented, creative mechanical engineer, with the ability to solve complex mechanical problems and design ingenious mechanisms using your significant practical experience from time spent in an engineering design environment. With excellent knowledge of manufacture and assembly processes from one off designs to high volume manufacture, understanding of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes and material selection is key. Significant experience in 3D CAD, preferably Pro Engineer and SolidWorks is also required as is an excellent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

We are for someone with skills and experience to help resolve the functional mechanical challenges involved in developing complex drug delivery, diagnostic and surgical systems, but specific medical device industry experience is not a requirement. You are a bright, enthusiastic team player with outstanding communication skills to interact with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams made up of scientists, engineers and designers. You should have an excellent first degree in a relevant engineering discipline and significant commercial experience to offer leadership for your team.
