You’ll use your knowledge of manufacture and assembly processes (one off designs to high volume manufacture) and should have a good understanding of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes and material selection backed by significant experience in 3D CAD, preferably Pro Engineer and Solid Works.
Outline responsibilities include
• Definition of technical solutions for product or system developments
• Generation of concepts and layouts of systems & detailed design of components/products in CAD
• Tolerance analysis of system designs
• Production of detailed drawings and manufacturing specifications and transfer of designs to manufacture
To be considered you need an excellent first degree in a relevant discipline with high level practical design experience. You should be a self-motivated team player, enthusiastic about working in the medical devices arena and any understanding of medical device development processes compliant with ISO 13485 and QSR will be an advantage.
