This company sells a clinically accurate POC device that is fast becoming a market leader for blood glucose measurements in hospital critical care. Winning a good number of tenders in 2009, business is not slowing down.
You will be responsible for managing accounts throughout the north UK with a focus on key Trusts across the M62 corridor although you may be asked to go to Scotland from time to time! This is a multi-layered sales process involving presentations to senior managers and procurement teams as well as the end-users who can be your "lever" to the final deal! You will also be involved with some post-sales training to ensure good practice which will in itself generate sales of consumables (reagent strips).
Able to grasp the biochemistry behind the improved accuracy of this system over current POC meters from competitors, you ideally have some medical sales experience and proven ability to manage accounts at all levels. However, enthusiasm, drive and energy are more important than any specific experience of this market.
