The company is a well known global healthcare provider with products that encompass a broad range of solutions from pharmaceuticals to sophisticated diagnostic technologies and with worldwide sales in excess of $20billion.

As Distributor Manager, you will be working for one of the company's specialist divisions with technology to enable rapid diagnosis of patient status and improve patient care in various critical areas of a hospital such as theatre, ICU, A&E etc. The UK base looks after sales outside North America and Japan, through both direct operations and distribution partners.

Your role will be to provide leadership and training to European country managers and their direct sales forces as well as their customers. You will create and manage the business strategy and plans to meet and exceed the commercial goals, as well as draw up business plans to maintain positive relationships with the key stakeholders and opinion leaders in each region.

You should have a history of progressive senior sales experience in medical devices/IVD markets with a sound record of success coupled with experience of managing distributors. You should be comfortable managing in a multi-cultural environment and happy to travel widely as required. A 2nd European language would be a distinct advantage.

Although this division is based in the UK Midlands, you can be located anywhere in the UK provided you have access to a major international airport and can make office meetings whilst in the UK.
