You’ll be involved in concept generation, mechanical design, analysis of system architectures and liaison across other engineering disciplines taking responsibility for generation of concepts and layouts of systems in CAD, tolerance analysis of product designs and preparation of technical reports. Comfortable presenting and explaining your work to colleagues and to clients you’ll also support sales efforts when required, through research and project work.
To be considered you MUST have an excellent first degree in mechanical engineering and relevant practical experience designing laboratory diagnostic instruments. Using 3D CAD is second nature and you have a good understanding of manufacturing technqies, assembly processes and material selection. If you are familiar with mechanism design, stress analysis, mould flow analysis and other CAD analysis tools, this can only benefit your applications
